UTICA, NY… The Neighborhood Center, Inc. hosted an art contest for children 3 – 15 -years old. ‘Art is Essential and So Are You’ was the theme, encouraging kids to design Thank Cards for an Essential Worker. There were four artwork winners divided by age and each will win a brand-new bicycle! The Bike giveaway is being held and the media is invited to attend.

The initiative will help support community programming. “The purpose of the contest is to provide a safe, fun and creative opportunity for children in the community while helping to raise funds for The Neighborhood Center community-based programming that is occurring right now in response to current community needs, ” says Sandra Soroka, Executive Director.
The four winning designs were duplicated onto “Thank You” cards for Essential Workers and will be available for purchase by the public.
