Our Navigators are working remotely and taking phone calls if you need help with insurance! New York State of Health has extended open enrollment and the navigators’ ability to help clients has been expanded.
Anyone that has lost Health Insurance through this Covid-19 virus is eligible to apply for insurance with the extended open enrollment period of March 15-April 15th, 2020. Child Health Plus, Medicaid and Essential Plans can be opened anytime of the year. All new applications can be done over the phone.
All Marketplace renewals for Medicaid, Essential Plan and Child Health Plus for the months of March,April,May and June will have an automatic four month extension to renew for the next year.
Anyone that is laid off during this time because of the business closing will be able to attest to losing their Health Insurance and won’t need to provide a letter from their former employer.
