Utica, NY— Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon proudly announces the conclusion of a tremendously successful Hat and Mitten Drive, orchestrated to support and benefit The Neighborhood Center. The drive received an overwhelming response from the community, exemplifying their incredible generosity and compassion.
As temperatures plummeted and the holiday spirit filled the air, the community rallied together in an incredible show of support.
The initiative received an abundance of new and gently used winter accessories, including hats, mittens, scarves, and gloves, catering to individuals of all ages within The Neighborhood Center’s care. “Many of our clients don’t have vehicles of their own and waiting outside without mittens, hats, and scarves can be detrimental, especially to young children,” said Sandra Soroka, Executive Director of The Neighborhood Center.
The donated items have been collected, sorted, and are now ready to be distributed to those who will benefit from the warmth and comfort they provide. The Neighborhood Center has expressed their sincere appreciation to Assemblywoman Buttenschon and the community for their unwavering support.
