JOB COACH- Adult Recovery Services - Full-Time
Location: Utica, NY
Description: Full-time position with excellent benefits at Adult Recovery Services (ARS). Provides vocational rehabilitation for persons diagnosed with mental illness. Utilizing the evidence-based practice of the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, assess a client’s skills/background/barriers, and create an Individual Vocational Plan focusing on career planning/advancement. Responsible to assist clients in reaching goals through one-on-one visits, job site monitoring and coordination with employers, advocacy, promotion of increasing coping skills through psychiatric rehabilitation groups at ARS, linkage to additional resources, and coordination with local colleges. Responsible to involve the client’s entire support team in his/her vocational rehabilitation and work closely with the client’s mental health providers, care managers and family members. Must possess work experience demonstrating strong organizational, assessment and communication skills.
Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Human Services or closely related field and a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Mental Health field required. EOE
