Kinney Drugs Gives Back!

Each year, Kinney Drugs holds a Management Conference in which 160+ Kinney vendors participate. The left over merchandise is then donated to a local not-for-profit. This year's event was held on March 29, 2017 at the Turning Stone Event Center and The Neighborhood Center was the lucky recipient of the goods for the second year in a row!

Thank you to Kinney Drugs and Marc Baum, Merchandise Presentation Supervisor, for thinking of us and for the generous donation!

Erie Canal Harley Owners Group makes annual stop at TNC!

Columbus Day marks a special day for The Neighborhood Center, Inc. as it is the day for our annual visit from the Erie Canal Chapter of the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Club!
The motorcycle club has been coming to the Center every year since 1997. They have been tremendous supporters and friends of the Center. Each year they have held rides to collect toys for the Neighborhood Center to use in our Christmas Assistance program. In addition to toys, the Club has also made cash donations and donated school supplies.

The thunder and roar of motorcycles coming down the street is music to our ears!

A big thank you to Don Ehrle (President of the Erie Canal Chapter) and the whole club!

Proud to be a partner of The United Way

M&T Bank/Partner's Trust Bank Charitable Fund

We recently received a grant from M&T Bank/Partner's Trust Bank Charitable Fund through the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Inc. for items we needed at our Child Care facility. On Monday, December 7th, David Manzelmann from M&T Bank along with John Swann and Jan Squadrito from The Community Foundation Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Inc. toured our program and were able to see just how much their contributions meant to the children and staff. Because of their generosity, we were able to purchase new rugs for the classrooms, new toddler size toilets, cots, sheets, classroom supplies and more. The children showed their appreciation by presenting them with artwork, thank you cards and plenty of smiles. We thank you again for your continued support of our agency!

On April 19, 2012, The Neighborhood Center, Inc. was the proud recipient of a very special donation. Amanda Grace Lindsay's wish for her 10th birthday was to help children, their families and animals. Instead of receiving gifts for herself, she collected donations of shoes and pet supplies. "It's good to help people that don't always have all they need and animals too, if everyone would just give a little or help a little, it makes a big difference, kid's are always happy with new shoes!" Amanda collected 103 pairs of shoes as well as various items for the local humane society. The shoes will be distributed through a number of Neighborhood Center programs. She wishes to thank all her friends, classmates at Deerfield Elementary School and family for all their help in making her birthday wish come true. Thank you Amanda for being such a generous young lady and for thinking of the children and families we serve at the Neighborhood Center.
